ROMINA FALCONI'S SELF-LIBERATION PATH " October 2019 THE CONSCIOUS PUPPET The path of self-liberation by Romina Falconi I'm Roberta Giallo. Pleasure. This is my first real musical column, and this is my first article for this new-born column, which is called "Musica in Giallo", because the eye, the ears and all the possible senses involved, as well as the same sensitivity that I will use to approach the things and the people of whom I will write, I am my own. And being mine, my considerations will undoubtedly be personal, but as objective as possible: this is my challenge, paradoxical, but for this stimulating; combining my personal sensitivity with my most-objective-possible critical thought, and therefore, the most-possible prejudice free. Also because I was given a very precious thing called "freedom", and I intend to honor, so I will choose who and what to talk about, and how to do it. Thanks. In life I am recognized first and foremost as a singer-songwriter, but we all know it, in reality everyone is always "more things", or we can say that he is simply himself in all the things he does, only to be recognized in particular for one thing specific, which tends to define it in society, as a professor, as a lawyer, as a postman, as a journalist, as a hairdresser, as a singer, as a wretch ... Well, here I will be a singer-songwriter who writes about other artists, those "artists" who express themselves through what is called, in a more or less appropriate way "music", and I will do it using reason and feeling, trying to give my best. And I will do it by carefully choosing the cut, each time different. And I will do it by choosing who and what I find worthy of attention. Because whoever reads, this is my captatio benevolentiae, would always deserve "the best". The preamble is finished. While these days the "world of critics or pseudo-critics" is going crazy and a little crazy, imploding behind those who would have trampled on a great classic, or would have read it again in a suspended key (perhaps) between Dadaism and punk; I honestly choose to talk about each other. I go to a whole other party, because the controversy, if they do not have the strength of the alternative, at some point, they fall, die, or worse, they get bored.
